It was my pleasure to be at the MCG this week for the launch of the new edition of Cricket Walkabout, the story of the first Australian cricketers to England, an all-colour, very impressive enhanced edition from the delightfully named Tea Bag Press in Ballarat.
Among the attendees were Darcy Moore, the Collingwood AFL footballer, whose grandfather Rex Harcourt wrote the book.
Darcy made a contribution and posed for photographs and signed copies of the book.
As did fellow contributors Richard Kennedy, Ashley Couzens, Richard Mulvaney (son of the original author) and Ian Friend.
All were interviewed, before many of us returned to watch the action from Australia A v India A.
