Arthur Mailey was an Australian spin bowling giant between the wars. Most notably his nine wicket haul in a single innings in Melbourne remains the best by an Australian in Ashes cricket.
Arthur was also a multi-talented artist whose 1920s caricatures books, penned while he was playing, are among the most sought by lovers of cricket ephemera.
We have several of his booklets — and he did almost a dozen — for sale currently. Just go to ‘Search’ and type in ARTHUR MAILEY and they’ll come up. Happy hunting.
This is cricketing superannuation at its most pleasurable.
