Roger Davis who was an ever-present member of the Glamorgan side during Majid’s career at the Welsh county has written the foreword, whilst Najum Latif – the Curator of the Cricket Museum at the Lahore Gymkhana – has contributed a chapter on Majid’s ancestry titled, ‘From Kaniguram To Glamorgan’.

In September, 1969 Majid played one of the greatest ever innings in Glamorgan’s history against Worcestershire at Sophia Gardens. On the opening day of the penultimate game of the season – and on a spiteful wicket – Majid struck a superb 156 out of a total of 265. Glamorgan went on to win the game which therefore clinched the County Championship for only the second time in the club’s mighty history.
