 The early Years of Gilbert Jessop is being launched at this year’s Cheltenham Cricket Festival in July. The booklet covers the famed big-hitter’s career up to the end of 1894, just prior to him heading off to Cambridge University. It includes his first two seasons with Gloucestershire and includes details of his involvement club & grammar school cricket in and around Cheltenham (from an 11 year old), through to College games in Oxfordshire, the Midlands and Suffolk.
