Presenting the very rare, very-collectible and most-desirable Indian produced official brochure of Ian Johnson’s 1956 team to India in September 1956 (which played three Tests at the conclusion of the Ashes).
 
It includes a signed facsimile letter from Sir Donald Bradman: ‘This Australian team will only be making a flying visit to India, but it will be a start...’ he writes on Whitehall Court letterhead paper rom London pre-tour.
It is in good condition (even though the cover has come away from the rest of the magazine which is bound ‘spirax’ style); 28cm x 21cm.  Rating: 6 out of 10
 
It consists of approx 100 pages and has some lovely detail and photography inside, especially individual shots of the Indian team… and of some of the leading Aussies like captain Johnson (pictured batting) and Len Maddocks (pictured wicketkeeping). The full scoreboard from the one-off Test between Pakistan and Australia is also included.
